ABOUT CELEBRANT CLAIRE

I’m Claire Vicars and I’m a trained and professional independent civil celebrant.

I love to write, create and perform. When I’m not crafting ceremonies, I’m a voice over actor and singer in a successful show choir. I also enjoy reading and hearing peoples stories. Autobiographies are my favourite! 

​

It was on two separate occasions that I knew I wanted to become a celebrant. The first was at wedding where the couple had the most unique ceremony that I had ever been too. Full of laughter, insight and their story. No quiet, heavy serious vibes just pure celebration and love. The second moment happened at a family members funeral. The celebrant gathered the information and produced the most beautiful ceremony that truly honoured them. Once again, poignant and a celebration of life. I knew that I had to be a celebrant.

While in a full-time teaching role I retrained in creating and delivering weddings, vow renewals, funerals, re-naming and baby naming ceremonies. I didn’t stop there. I continued my studies, buried my head in books, websites and essay writing and gained my NCON qualification in professional celebrancy. 

​

I am now a full-time celebrant and loving every minute of it. If you need any additional information, please do not hesitate in contacting me.

Unlike a registrar when you choose me as your celebrant, we will meet up more than once. I like to create a relationship and rapport with my clients so that I may create your handcrafted, bespoke ceremony full of sentiment that truly reflects you as a couple. Communication is key so my aim is to make you feel comfortable while you share your thoughts with me.
